Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak

Recently, my friend, whom I call Uncle Keith, brought me to this local Nasi Lemak place at Boon Lay. It was soon to be midnight but this hawker center was still bustling!

The store stood at the right end of the row of stores and it was hard to miss considering that the queue for it was probably the longest among all the other stalls in this hawker center. After queuing for quite some time at the store, I figured that the long queue was not necessarily due to the popularity of the store but it was quite largely due to the slow service. This was weird when you take into account that all the items were already precooked but my friend proposed that it could also be because of the people in front of us who may have bought many packets of Nasi Lemak. (The discussion went on during the span of our queuing for food. You could probably tell that we were really bored and had nothing better to do.)

Time for Nasi Lemak!
I told myself to eat just half of the packet which consisted of an Otah, Chicken Wing, Egg and Rice. The reason was because it was really unhealthy to eat so much at that time of the night but I subconsciously took more mouthfuls than I should have. Opps! It was quite good and I could not resist it. I promised Uncle Keith to give him half of my packet and I managed to stop myself in time before I gobbled it all up. At that point of time, Uncle had already finished his set and he was eyeing keenly on mine. HA!

Juicy Deep Fried Chicken Wing
What was really tasty but sinful was the Deep Fried Chicken Wing! Oh my goodness! It was hot and crispy outside and tender on the inside. I could have eaten another one.

Otah
My friend loved the Otah and he commented that he did not know that it was that delectable prior to tasting the Otah from my set. (You got to try it for yourself to know it.)

Rice and Sambal Chilli
I felt that the rice was very fragrant and the Sambal Chilli was appropriately spicy and delicious too.

Egg
The only thing on my plate which I wished could have been better was the egg. I guess it was meant to be a sunny side up but apparently, it was a little overcooked.

Overall, I really liked the Nasi Lemak and I would love to return to the place once more! (Probably for lunches or dinner but not for supper ) It would not be often because everything on the plate would scream "Eat me and turn FAT!". I believe that it is important to eat everything in moderation especially, fried and oily food so once in awhile indulgences are okay!
