Why should you go there?
- It is an educational experience
- Beer tasting for 45 minutes!! (It's an equivalent to a beer buffet)
What went on?
In the tour, the tour guide first let us watch a video on the history of APB and following that, she brought us to the reactor tanks where beer was being made. You cannot see much as the tanks are all opaque and closed up. The tour guide then started sharing about how beer is being made and the processes involved. I have forgotten much of the details but you can take a look at the link below of how beer is brewed.
After that, we were taught how to pour the perfect glass of beer.
Pouring the Perfect Glass of Beer as a Bartender
1. Hold the glass by the base to prevent warming up the beer
2. The glass is rinsed to get rid of any residual particles
3. Hold the glass at a 45 degrees angle and dispense chilled beer into the glass
4. When you have filled the beer nearly to the top, slowly straighten the glass and induce Carbon Dioxide to fill up the head space with foam.(A guide of 1-2inches of foam would be ideal)

After the session, it was the 45 minutes beer tasting session (totally worth the price of the tour!). There were an assortment of beer which included Tiger, Bulmers(my favourite there), Heineken, Erdinger etc.
This trip was a break much needed from the harsh life in the university and my professor is really the coolest!

The $16 tour included:
- A tour around the beer reactor tanks where malt is fermented to beer
- A lesson on how to dispense the perfect beer
- A 45 minutes session of beer tasting (includes an assortment of beer!)
